Ichiban Boshi - Pavilion KL

Ohio...people. We were at Pavilion KL watching movie on Saturday and after that my stomach started to make a lot of noise. Well....it's telling me that it's time to feed my stomach. It was raining cats and dogs outside so feel lazy to go out of Pavilion so we decided to find something inside to eat. We came about Ichiban Boshi and I remembered one of the blog commenting about the restaurant. Why not give it a go.....

The restaurant is famous for their home made soba. They are freshly made daily. I tried the Oroshi Soba (cold). Wish that I can try more than one to taste the differences but guess that I'll have to wait for next time. The noodle is definitely fresh and not sticky. I would say...just nice.

Apart from the soba, we also tried sushi. I think there was something wrong with the rice on that day. It's not only one but all of them. The other food blog did not complain about this so I think something went wrong on that day.

We tried 2 Inaris, Tuna Mayo Inari and Kani (crab stick) Mayo Inari. They stuffed quite a lot of Tuna and Kani in the Inari. If the rice weren't that hard, it will be just perfect.

The Salmon Kawa Roll have a lot of things inside. Crab meat, fried salmon, crepe, cucumber and mayo. The portion for this dish is quite big for RM4.00. It taste a little bit like soft shall crab maki though.

It's a disaster for the Soft Shell Crab Handroll. The seaweed is not fresh and hard. Add on with the hard rice, you get a bad Handroll. I don't know what to say about this and I hope that it is only on that particular day....disappointed

The crispy lobster roll is new to me. I can't really taste the lobster because it is being covered by the paste. Not a fan of this dish but it's OK.

You should try the Chawanmushi in this restaurant. The egg is silky smooth and they steam it perfectly. I could smell the nice fragrance of the mushi and of course it taste good. I'm glad that we started off well with Soba and end up well with Chawanmushi despite of the disappointment in the middle.

Oh...I almost forgot about the green tea. Actually it prefer this type of green tea than the normal green color green tea. I like to taste the fragrance of the roasted tea leaf.
